研究実績の概要 |
The research goes well this year. The main achievements include: a) Since the scalability is an important aspect of the signal processing subsystem based on four-wave mixing, we conducted numerical simulations to explore an intelligently scalable multicast system based on four-wave mixing. This provides sufficient datasets for the next-stage research work. b) The nonlinear device plays an important role in the subsystem. In addition to the previously used nonlinear fiber, we designed a silicon resonator with an optimized dispersion profile to provide efficient four-wave mixing effects in signal processing. The relevant results have been published in MDPI Photonics (SCI-indexed journal).

理由
Our research work has progressed smoothly so far. Both numerical simulations and experimental investigations were well conducted. We have published our research results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. The findings during the research also inspired us new ideas for other applications such as laser detection and ranging (Lidar).

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Based on the results we have obtained last year, we will develop an efficient pumping scheme to implement an intelligently scalable signal processing subsystem.

Due to the influence of Coid-19, the delivery of some components was delayed.
