研究実績の概要 |
One peer reviewed paper published in the Journal PeerJ in 2019.
One of the main research activities undertaken between April 2019 ~ March 2020 was to induce shiitake to produce fruiting bodies in vitro and determine the optimal conditions for fruiting. Shiitake is known to be extremely fastidious when it comes to fruiting, therefore we grew shiitake under numerous different conditions. Fruiting bodies were produced in 15% of flasks from day 47 to day 71. Although we have shown that shiitake can be induced to produce fruiting bodies in vitro, one problem we encountered was that large fruiting bodies collapsed under their own weight. Therefore, further experiments will be required to solve this problem.

理由
Last year, we had plans to purchase an incubator to allow shiitake cultures to be grown under its optimum conditions to produce fruiting bodies, but as we are still in the process of researching what these optimum conditions are, we have delayed the purchase of the incubator until late 2020.
As of mid-April, all field and laboratory has been postponed because of the Emergency lockdown due to Covid-19.
|
今後の研究の推進方策 |
We will continue to optimize the production of shiitake fruiting bodies in vitro.
In addition, we have begun a new experiment (from March 2020) to determine the log-to-shiitake transfer factor of stable cesium using logs collected throughout Japan.
|
次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Last years budget was not used because we did not purchase an incubator as planned.
In the next fiscal year, we plan to purchase the incubator. We will also be using the funds to continue our two on-going experiments.
