研究実績の概要 |
Two primary experiments concerned with determining brain activity underlying tDCS stimulation were conducted. One of the studies was concerned with using tDCS and microtiming deviation training to improve guitar improvisation performance. The results show a significant effect of microtiming deviation training in improving guitar improvisation performance but there were no significant differences between the stim and sham groups. Further analysis is being conducted to determine differences in EEG related brain activity for stim over sham groups. Another study investigated tDCS stim in a dual-task airplane landing and audio identification task during fMRI. Differences in landing performance were present in the tDCS versus sham group. Analysis of resting state and task related activity is ongoing.
