| 研究実績の概要 |
Based on a comparison of existing empirical literature on project management and interview data, a gap between proscribed best practice and the case firm was identified.
Interview data suggest that despite being the firm with the largest market share in its business (automotive bearings), the supplier uses remarkably standardised data collection on current customer requirements to develop future based designs (which are modified for each individual carmaker).
This is a stark contrast to described best practices which call for broad information exchange within the firm. This suggests that more cases and follow-up interviews with this case firm are necessary to confirm the remarkably simple but seemingly effective approach.

理由
Due the corona virus pandemic, the project is delayed because interviews with firms are difficult or even impossible to conduct. The feasibility of the intended study is uncertain.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
Actual research depends on the possibility to conduct interviews. As this cannot be planned due to the corona virus, currently no change of strategy is planned.
As a proposal has been accepted by an academic society which focusses on the automotive industry, theoretical and empirical case study data are currently synthesised into a conference paper.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Because the project was delayed this year due to the corona virus pandemic, funding could not be used as originally intended for this project. Therefore, it is requested to utilise these funds in the next fiscal year for the purpose of the research project. The funding should be used to finance data
collection and field research with automotive suppliers when this becomes hopefully possible again.
