研究実績の概要 |
For the development of the functional renormalization group (FRG) method and the application to the (1+1)-dimensional nuclear systems, we derived the FRG formalism including the effect of the density flow. We further discussed the behavior of the two-point correlation functions and calculated the saturation energy and density with systematic truncations and approximations. The corresponding results were summarized in the master thesis “Development of functional renormalization group and its application in one-dimensional nucleon systems” by Hikaru Sakakibara (U. Tokyo). For exploring the ab initio density functional theory (DFT), we proposed a novel way to improve energy density functionals in DFT based on the combination of the inverse Kohn-Sham method and the density functional perturbation theory. The results have been published in [J. Phys. B 52 (2019) 245003]. It is one of the first practical uses of the inverse Kohn-Sham method. For revealing the connections between the relativistic and nonrelativistic nuclear DFTs, we proposed the novel reconstituted similarity-renormalization-group method and the novel reconstituted Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation. The results have been published in [Phys. Rev. C 99 (2019) 054324; 101 (2020) 024304; Chin. Phys. C 43 (2019) 114105].

The research is progressing rather smoothly with the supports of RIKEN and several international collaborations.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The research will be carried out as plans. In particular, in FY2020, we will finalize the research of the functional renormalization group method to the (1+1)-dimensional nuclear systems, and we will focus on the development of this method to the (3+1)-dimensional nuclear systems and electron gas. Investigations and applications of the relevant studies will also be processed in parallel.

In FY2019, we bought a new computer with a chapter price and we spent less on traveling.
