研究実績の概要 |
This project is initially divided into five work packages (WPs): WPs 1, 2 and 3 are scheduled for FY2018; WPs 4 and 5 are for FY2019. Fortunately, we could manage to finish WPs 1, 2, 4 and 5 by three journal papers and five conference papers/talks published.
In WPs 1 and 2, we have successfully derived the resonance condition, optimal input currents and loads to achieve the maximal efficiency for general MIMO-IPT system. In WP 4, we have developed an algorithm to control the transmitter currents to minimize the power loss while charging all the receivers with the power level that they require. In WP 5, by applying the theory developed in WPs 1 and 2, we could reduce the transmit power in each transmitter while focusing the RF energy toward the target receiver.

理由
Currently, we are developing the results of WP 4. We are performing extensive experiments to thoroughly evaluate the capability of using multiple transmitters to divide power flow from a single source and guide them toward multiple receivers. With many positive results, we have summarized this topic and submitted a journal paper for review.
Meanwhile, we are working on the WP 3 which is about using Poynting vector to illustrate the power transfer mechanism in MIMO-IPT systems. We have successfully developed Poynting vector formulas and could reveal the energy transfer mechanism in some specific configurations. Currently, we are developing these formulas for other configurations of the transmitters and receivers.
