This study explores the deformation of the median nerve corresponding to different hand grip from the perspective of grip and pinch mechanism and biomechanical factors. Specifically, pinch type and pinch width as well as grip type and grip width were examined in year 1 and year 2, respectively. The force exertion by various pinch and grip types affect the median nerve morphological characteristics. Although the last year project was delayed but confirmation study was able to complete on time. The general findings regarding hand tool influence on the median nerve are implemented into office ergonomics such as input devices.
