理由
Although many of research goals planned for the fiscal year of 2021 were achieved, there was a slight delay caused by the fact that the originally planned execution of the research for the year of 2020 could not have been conducted overseas in that year, but it could finally be started in the mid-2021. Similarly, several international conferences and workshops, which had been cancelled or postponed in 2020, were held in 2021 or postponed to 2022.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In the fiscal year of 2022, the research is planned to continue overseas at the Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition in Munich from April 2022 until July 2022. This will allow to proceed further with the collection and analysis of documents and materials dealing with the German and EU laws. In addition, the analysis of data previously collected in online surveys will continue. Its aim will move from public perceptions of the wrongfulness of studied copyright uses towards public views on appropriate sanctioning for them. The research will also scrutinize specific issues related to appropriation art and fan fictions. Finally, the research results are planned to be presented at several international conferences and workshops, and to be published as research papers.
