研究概要

耐病性反応において、イネの低分子量Gタンパク質RacファミリーのOsRac1がシグナル伝達の分子スイッチとして機能していることを明らかにしていが、その分子機構の詳細は不明だった。本研究で、OsRac1と複合体を形成するタンパク質を探索し、抵抗性タンパク質、パターン認識受容体、シャペロン、コシャペロン、足場タンパク質、活性酸素を生成するNADPHオキシダーゼなどを同定した。我々は、OsRac1を含むタンパク質複合体を「Defensome」と名付けた。さらに、Defensomeがイネの植物免疫に中枢を担うタンパク質複合体であることを明らかにした。
