研究概要

本研究ではプレインカからインカ帝国成立期の人骨試料を用いて、集団の系統関係の解明と古代社会の多元的な復元を試みた。その結果、アンデス南海岸地域では、紀元前には北部海岸地域と遺伝的に似ているが、時代とともに山岳地域からの集団の移入を受け,インカ時代には集団の置換が起こったことが判明した。一方北海岸においては人口規模の違いから、集団の遺伝的組成に変化はなく、文化変容が遺伝的な変化を伴わないものであることが判明した。これらの結果は古代アンデスにおける文化変容を解釈する際に新たな重要な情報を付け加えることになった。
