観測に基づく太陽系外惑星の多様性の解明

研究概要

おうし座分子雲に付随する「おうし座DO星」という前主系列星を、すばる望遠鏡のステラーコロナグラフを用いて観測した。今までに円盤が検出されてきた天体は、若い天体で会ったり活動が活発な天体であったが、おうし座DO星のような静かで典型的な前主系列星にも星周円盤があることが分かった。また、数個の原始惑星候補天体の分光観測を行い、これらが原始惑星ではなく背景星の可能性が高いことを明らかにした。
