研究実績の概要 |
A theoretical model describing a two-mode Bose-Einstein condensate interacting with two modes of light in an optical cavity has been derived and well-understood. The model will serve as a proposal for a self-ordered spinor magnetometer which would allow for ultra-precise measurements of static and time-dependent magnetic fields. The proposal is based on the state-of-the-art experiments and with current experimental parameters it can compete with state-of-the-art magnetometers with a possibility of surpassing their performance.

理由
Currently the work describing self-order spinor magnetometer is being finalized, and soon it will be submitted to a scientific journal. The work about spins in a spin chain is currently in the process of finalizing calculations.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The future work will be mainly focused on writing a manuscript summarizing the possibility of using spin-chains to create spin-squeezed states of spins. Another aim is a fully quantum description of (spinor) self-organization, i.e., going beyond the single-particle approximation.
