研究概要

本研究課題の目的は、生細胞が持つ細胞骨格、と称される生体情報伝達用細胞内ネットワーク構造の力学および損傷修復過程の特性を明らかにし、細胞操作、細胞手術への貢献を図るものである。研究成果として、赤血球および繊維芽細胞中の細胞骨格(特にストレスファイバー)の非常に異なる力学特性をナノ力学手法により測定し、これまでにない定量的な構造モデルを構築した。その結果、ストレスファイバーを中心とする細胞骨格がアクトミオシン層との結合を通じて細胞膜に連結されており、細胞運動、情報伝達において両者が密接な連携をもって動作する力学的基盤が明確となった。
