1) Amponsah, Samuel; Munier, Nathan; and Samreth, Sovannroeun, presented a paper at the The 18th International Conference of the Japanese Economic Policy Association, held from November 16 to 17, 2019 at Chou University, Tokyo.
2) Amponsah, Samuel and Koga, Kyoko, presented a paper on Akan Language and household income at the Allied Social Sciences Associations Annual Meeting, held from January 3 to 5 in San Diego, CA, U.S.A.
3)Amponsah, Samuel; Okada, Yoshitaka; and Stanislawski, Sumire, presented a paper at the Africa Academy of Management: Globalization, Pan-Africanism, and the African Business Climate 5th Biennial Conference” hosted by Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University Lagos, Nigeria and held from January 8-11.

理由
Our target was to conduct pilot survey for 60 households. However, at the end of the pilot survey we were about to interview 98 households in two cocoa producing districts in Ghana. Moreover, we use data from the Ghana Statistical Service to produce a paper which was presented at the 18th International Conference of the Japan Economic Policy Association, which was held in Tokyo. In addition, we have been able to complete the identification and selection of communities in the districts in Ghana where scale up survey and the financial diary survey are going to be conducted.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
Since we were able to complete the pilot survey as planned, we will scale up this fiscal year by conducting a baseline survey for 180 households. In addition, we plan to start our financial diary survey for the households. The financial diary survey will cover 280 households. Below are the schedule for the year.
1) Our Initial planned was to conduct a baseline survey for 180 households in April 2020. But because of the novel corona virus, started in this June 2020.
2) Between April 2020 and March 2021, we intended to conduct our financial diary survey for 280 household in Ghana. Similarly, because of COVID-19, the starting month for the financial diary survey was postponed to June 2020.
3) We are currently analyzing the data from the pilot survey.
