研究実績の概要 |
During this year, a new mathematical model to reconstruct the compressible toroidal plasma has been developed. This new method has several advantages over other traditional methods as it includes the complexity of the plasma flow in the fusion devices. This method has been examined with several numerical tests that proved its ability to be used in the experimental environment. In the simulation framework, a novel resistive-MHD simulation has been started to demonstrate the spherical formation both in the University of Tokyo spherical tokamak and ST40 tokamak energy (UK) devices. This simulation helps us to predict the operation efficiency of the fusion devices. In the experimetal framework, the magnetic field fluctuation measurement (currently 60 channels) has been started.

理由
This year passed generally good in the research development. I did everything that I have planned to do.However, not fully satisfied with the number of my publications as I have to prove new methods and improve them to a better level.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In the next year, I would like to focus more on the simulation development related to novel spherical tokamak (double null)formation in resistive and Hall MHD simulations. Secondly, the developed mathematical method to reconstruct ion velocity by using the measured emission should be fully confirmed and being used to the experimental data. The third point is receiving data from the magnetic field fluctuation system. Comparison between experimental and numerical data will help us to develop a model on the effects of waves generated in plasma on the ion acceleration inside the fusion devices. It should be mentioned, that the new collaboration between UTokyo and tokamak energy Ltd. has been started to improve the efficiency in plasma merging.
