| 研究実績の概要 |
In FY2022 the research confirmed the findings about the importance of user-friendliness of ODR procedures. Also, it expanded the analysis on a) the difficulties of creating legislation which could be acceptable to all the relevant stakeholders and b) a substantial different approach between civil law (especially in the EU) and common law jurisdictions (especially the US). The EU seems less concerned with the merits of ODR from a technical perspective, and focuses on using them to keep disputes out of the court system. The US tend to study more in detail the structure of the procedure, and stressed the merits of ODR in itself. FY2022 was used to consolidate the research results, and to disseminate them among a selected group of scholars and practictioners, expecially some with connections with policy makers.The highlight were an invited lecture at the JAA Research Division, as well as the organization of the UNCITRAL Asia Pacific Day 2022 and a special lecture.

理由
Unfortunately, while international travelling became again possible in 2022, the backlog of events made a bit difficult to fully take advantage of this possibility. However, as for 2021, I was able to carry out activities thanks to the use of technology and because of an established research network.
I intend to use FY2023 to fully disseminate the results of my research.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
Now that international and domestic academic events resumed in full, I will employ FY2023 to make sure that my research results will be disseminated the maximum possible extent, in order to obtain the impact desidered from the inception of the research.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The research was granted an extension to FY2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemics. I intend to use all the remaining funds during such period.
