研究実績の概要 |
Due to COVID-19, I was unable to carry out preliminary fieldwork on the role of religion in peacebuilding and development. However, I was able to conduct a thorough literature review and further develop my theoretical framework.I presented the theoretical framework for the project at the International Studies Association (ISA) Annual Convention which was postponed to 2021 and took place online. The presentation was based on two contributions to fora in internationally refereed international journals: International Studies Perspectives (published online August 25 2021) and International Studies Review (forthcoming). In addition, I co-authored two articles related to the theoretical framework used which are currently under review in internationally refereed journals.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
My plans depend on the success of the Japanese anti-COVID vaccine roll-out and the listing of restrictions on foreign travel in AY2021.If listed, I will be able to undertake prelimary fieldwork in the UK to complete the literature review before carrying out research in South Asia depending on the COVID-19 situation. Online presentations on my theoretical framework has been made at the Annual Convention of the International Studies Association (April 6, 2021) and will be made at the International Political Science Association World Congress (July 10-17, 2021). It is also anticipated that a special issue on "Pluriversal Relationality" which includes an article length contribution on the role of Dharma in International Relations will be published in Review of International Studies.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to COVID-19, I was unable to conduct preliminary fieldwork or to travel to international conferences which took place online. Depanding on the vaccination rollout in Japan, I will be in a position to conduct prelimary fieldwork at least in Europe and, depending on COVID, South Asia. Furthermore, I have been invited to co-edit a special issue of the Review of International Studies and am collaborating with a co-author from India (Prof. Navnita Behera Chadha, University of Delhi) which may require me to visit Delhi once the situation improves.
