| 研究実績の概要 |
I have presented the survey data on factors of integration and satisfaction of international faculty at the JALT Conference in November of 2021. This report has been submitted for publication at the Journal of International Mobility and is being under review. I have also served as acting Editor of SIETAR (Society for International Education and Research) since August of 2021.

理由
My attempts to publish the article on foreign faculty satisfaction have not yet been successful, however the paper has been re-submitted to another academic journal. I have done several in-depth interviews for the next stage of the qualitative research study, and I will be analyzing the results soon, but due to a very heavy work schedule and many responsibilities in academic year 2022 the project is slightly delayed. I needed more time to do an review of the recent literature on acculturation of immigrants.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
I will be interviewing at least 10 more international faculty regarding their integration and acculturation to their universities, and I will analyze the interview transcripts by autumn 2022. I intend to report results at a conference in winter or spring of 2022.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The COVID19 pandemic made it difficult to collect research data and to present data at conferences during 2021. In order to complete this research project in academic year 2022, I will need to provide compensation for people interviewed for my study. Also, I will need to submit the recordings of the interviews for transcription. I will also need to purchase software for the analysis of results. Lastly, I will require funding in order to attend an international conference for the reporting of research results.
