| 研究実績の概要 |
In the PY 2020, we have managed to
1-Obtain the Ethical Review Board (IRB) approval for our comparative study from Nagoya University. 2-Send opt-out consent to all the participants of the Aichi Workers’ Cohort Study. 3-Finish the anonymous data transfer of 5543 participants of the Aichi Workers’ Cohort Study. 4-Finish data clearance of the Japanese side. 5-Secure the obtained anonymous data from Nagoya University and Minia university in a stand-alone PC, with no access allowed except for the PI.
6-Obtain the Osaka University's Ethical Review Board (IRB) approval for the comparative study.7-Collect some literature review related to the research topic.8-Start statistical analyses for the comparative study.9-Conduct online meeting with the Egyptian and Japanese researchers to discuss preliminary results of descriptive data analyses.10-Finished one manuscript (profile manuscript of the Egyptian data) and submitted to scientific Journal (under review).

理由
Osaka University is hosting both the Egyptian data from Minia University and the Japanese data from the Aichi Civil workers cohort for the comparative study. Currently, the PI and Co-PIs are discussing the preliminary results of data analyses. We are also collecting literature review related to the research topic. We are in frequent contact with the team at Nagoya University, Japan and Minia University, Egypt to discuss the results and manuscript writing.
The PI and the collaborative research team in Egypt have finished a profile article descripting the Egyptian study and this article is under review of a scientific journal.
We also, finished data analyses for the main research question of the comparative study and in progress to draft the manuscript.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
1-Working on data analyses and discussing the results with researchers from both the Egyptian and the Japanese side.
2-Follow-up with professor. Hiroshi Yatsuya if any participant of the Aichi Civil Workers cohort is willing to opt out from the comparative study (currently, no opt out request has been received).
3-Finished the profile article of the Egyptian study and preparing to answer the reviewer’s comments when received.
4-Collecting relevant literature review for the research topic and data analyses for the main research question of the comparative study.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
In the first PY (2020), we have received the Japanese data. The opt out consent were sent to the Japanese participants with the annual report of the Aichi civil cohort study. Also, the local travel for meetings with co-investigators and collaborators in Nagoya University were replaced by online meeting due to the spread of corona virus; therefore, the amount for these expenses were saved.
We will use the remaining amount of the PY 2020 budget in the 2021 PY to help in buying software to be used in the statistical analysis, collection of literature review, local travel for meetings with co-investigators and collaborators in Nagoya University (if COVID-19 situation allows), and to for paying for English editing and article processing charges of scientific journal and/or conference fees.
