Due to the covid pandemic, the 2019-2020 research period was not very fruitful for me. Although I was able to publish an article in the Journal of English as a Lingua Franca and an article in Asian Englishes, I was not able to attend any of the international or domestic conferences that I thought I would be able to attend. I had planned on attending conferences in Taiwan and Australia to tell the scientific communities that I am a part of about my work. Although it is hoped that my work will be read by the random journal reader, I have no been able to systematically inform potentially interested scholars about my work.
