研究実績の概要 |
The purpose of this research is to identify how the emotional (foreign language enjoyment and foreign language classroom anxiety) and psychological (motivation and self-confidence) factors might differentially stimulate students' attainment of higher English proficiency in student-centered communicative lessons which includes pair/group work. A multiple linear regression analysis and an essay survey in which the students were asked to write about their feelings regarding the student-centered lessons showed that Students who scored high in TOEIC IP enjoyed studying in pairs/groups with their classmates and were highly motivated and independent.

理由
Due to COVID-19, the experiment could not be conducted as planned.Although the classes were face-to-face in 2022, there was still a slight tendency to refrain from pair and group work.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Initially, I surveyed English proficiency as the dependent variable and anxiety and enjoyment as independent variables, but I found that this was not sufficient. Therefore, I added motivation, confidence as independent variables. This year, I plan to add mindset and autonomy as independent variables to the survey instead of anxiety and enjoyment.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The experiment could not be performed because pair/group work activity was not conducted actively in lessons due to the COVID 19.The conference was also held online, so there was little expenditure. As a result, what I did in 2022 was conference presentations and manuscript writing for journals.
