The main purpose of this last year of research was to pursue our investigation of the socio-cultural evolutions of the Ainu, by studying the adaptation strategies proposed by Nukishio Kizo. The translation project of his manifesto and many complements has been successfully published in Canada. We also simultaneously wrote a timeline of Ainu history for another book : "Penriuk" by Dobashi Yoshimi. This allowed us to draw a more complete portrait of the struggles of the Ainu for social justice from 1934 to 2017. Through various publications produced throughout these four years of research, we have been able to highlight distinct aspects of contemporary Ainu society, while analyzing through historical archives its modes of functioning in a context where state violence was omnipresent.
