理由
The research is proceeding rather steadily as planned. In addition to Au/Nb2O5, Pt/Nb2O5 and Pd/Nb2O5 were screened out to be the active and selective catalysts for selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia. The important effect of acid sites of Nb2O5 has been investigated in detail. In the research plan, screening or designing of high surface acidity metal oxides for selective catalytic oxidation of ammonia was not proceeding smoothly because it is difficult to deposit highly dispersed gold nanoparticles on them, such as W-Ti-O, MoO3, WO3, V2O5. Therefore, the catalytic performances of these catalysts were not ideal. We will continue to develop the suitable preparation methods for acidic metal oxides supported gold catalysts.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
Future research plan will be focused on three points:
(1) Investigating the water effect of the developed Au/Nb2O5, Pt/Nb2O5, and Pd/Nb2O5 on selective catalytic oxidation of NH3 for practical applications.
(2) Developing functional metal oxides by utilizing the feature of acid sites for selective catalytic oxidation of NH3.
(3) Detailed reaction mechanism studies for better understanding this reaction and for developing new functional materials.
