研究実績の概要

Ultrafine (Sm,Zr)(Fe,Co,Ti)12 mesoscopic magnetic particles (MMPs) with controllable grain-size and composition have been synthesized. Importantly, appropriate magnetically-hard pinning shells could be introduced to the MMPs, serving as intergranular magnetic pinning boundaries. As a result, the MMPs exhibited ever-high coercivity of 1.6 T. This result is a breakthrough in the development of SmFe12 based permanent magnet materials.

理由

The research progress well regards the research objective and implemented plan in 2020, as follows:
(1) Controlling microstructure of the Sm(Fe1-xCox)12-yTiy MMPs
(2) Elucidating and understanding microstructure and magnetic properties of the Sm(Fe1-xCox)12-yTiy MMPs.

今後の研究の推進方策

The research is planned as follows:
(1) Further optimization of microstructure of Sm(Fe1-xCox)12-yTiy MMPs,
(2) Fabrication of anisotropic Sm(Fe1-xCox)12-yTiy bulk permanent magnets and
(3) Elucidating and understanding the microstructure and magnetic properties of the Sm(Fe1-xCox)12-yTiy MMPs and the anisotropic bulk permanent magnets.
