研究実績の概要 |
Ferroelectric polymers are expected to be applied to the electronics field because of their features such as being thin and flexible by solution processing. In this study, interfacial method such as Langmuir-Blodgett technique was used to realize simultaneous control of the film thickness at the nanoscale and formation of the desired crystal structures showing ferroelectricity in ferroelectric polymers. The monolayer formation such as PVDF terpolymer and nylon was confirmed through isothermal curves and AFM measurement. Multilayered film properties such as surface roughness and density were also confirmed.

理由
The research was slightly delayed because of two reasons: 1, I took a maternity leave for about 4 months from Aug., 2019 to Dec. 2019 and 2. A laboratory moving was done during March, 2020 lasting for almost one month because of my affiliation change from IMRAM to Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University. So, some parts are not yet completed as mentioned in the proposed research plan for the first fiscal year such as film preparation of hetero-nanosheets with alternative deposition of different polymers.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In the future, the work will be focused on: 1. crystallization analysis and mechanism including (a) effects of chemical structures and surface pressure on ferroelectric polymer crystallization and (b) investigation of 2D nanoconfinement effect on crystal growth in the hybrid multilayered films and change of crystal orientation and size as a function of layer thickness; 2. effect of layering structures on output energy density and hysteresis loss as a function of layer thickness and/or layer sequences: (a) device preparation: capacitor type, (b) dielectric spectroscopy in time and frequency domain and (c) systematical investigation of crystal evolution under external electric field, hysteresis loops and energy storage behaviors; 3. research summary.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
In the last year, I had a maternity leave for about 4 months from Aug., 2019 to Dec. 2019. At the end of the last fiscal year, we had a laboratory movement from IMRAM to Graduate School of Engineering, Tohoku University. For the reasons, I could not joint some conferences as I planed and a part of measurenment cost was saved for the next year. Therefore, I request to move the left amount to be used in the next fiscal year.
