This research grant aimed to investigate the role of small RNAs in regulating critical aspects of eusociality, such as immunity and cognition. Using Next-Generation Sequencing and comprehensive bioinformatics analysis, I investigated complex regulatory pathways involved with eusociality, culminating in the production of three research papers. Two of them are currently under review in high impact factor journals, and one to be submitted by September 2022. Despite the COVID-19 interruptions, I presented this work at the Australasian Evolution Society, in 2021. Articles in submission were published as pre-prints and can be assessed using:
