We aim to incorporate social sciences for sustainable natural resource management by using theoretical modelling approach. We plan to focus on different themes for the purpose; (1) control overtourism to protect biodiversity (2) illegal logging and corruption, (3) theoretical model to enhance human cooperation to preserve valuable common resources. For this purpose, we implemented tourists recognition over overtourism and biodiversity conservation visiting Jeju island in Korea and also built the theoretical model to incorporate that. We suggested the strategies to protect biodiversity under which the tourism destination still gain economic benefit. Also, to fight against corruption and to prevent illegal logging, we could build a more general theoretical model to cover the theme to specify the conditions to suppress the corruption and illegal logging, also could specify the phenomenon where corruption and illegal logging persistently exist nearby. Finally, we gain the model to prevent land abandonment which may cause loss of biodiversity and the cultural value of terraced rice field.
