研究実績の概要 |
1.In this Kaken project, I proposed to develop prediction equations to estimate Cardiorespiratory fitness (eCRF) using data from annual health check records and evaluate the validity of eCRF for health promotion. This year Western and Japanese prediction equations were developed using machine learning that accurately predicts fitness level. Meanwhile, I analyzed the association of measured fitness and fatness with Intermediate hyperglycemia (IH). This investigation points out that health promotion efforts should improve fitness, not fatness, in preventing prediabetes in women. The findings of this study also enable us to proceed to conduct similar grant-related research using eCRF as a predictor of prediabetes. 2.Electronic medical records do not contain fitness levels. Therefore eCRF equations will expand the capability of medical informatics and epidemiology. In addition, eCRF can be used to educate and promote the importance of fitness level to prevent chronic diseases to the public.

Progress is good based on the research schedule going as planned. Two eCRF manuscripts are being prepared for journal submission, and two prediction studies are underway.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Data use agreements from Japan, America and Singapore have been maintained. Based on the three aforementioned abstracts, three manuscript publications are planned for FY21 after further analysis are conducted.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
I had to cancel my oversea trip to attend the international conference because of COVID-19. Usage plan will be submission fee, travel expense for domestic meeting and so on.
