研究実績の概要 |
This research is about understanding what people in DR Congo think and know about Ebola, which is critical for implementing practical actions, including integrating the unmet needs of the population. In other words, we conducted knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) surveys to help identify misconceptions that were potential obstacles to the activities (including health education and communication) that were implemented during the 10th outbreak that broke out in North Kivu in 2018. This year, we collected nationwide data on Ebola-KAP (peak phase data). We carried out field surveys in 5 regional blocks (Kongo central, Kasai, Kivu, Kisangani, and Katanga). Our preliminary findings were presented at the 78th annual meeting of the Japan Society of Public Health in Kochi Prefecture.
