| 研究実績の概要 |
A pilot study has been conducted in 19 participants at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). After 12-weeks of intervention, hematological parameters, such as hemoglobin%, RBC count, Serum Ferritin tended to increase in the intervention group (500 mg/day) compared to placebo group.

理由
Because of COVID-19 pandemic situation, the clinical trial could not be started at due time. However, from the third fiscal year, study is progressing smoothly.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
Olive leaf extract intervention trial will be completed by September 2022. Data analysis, manuscript preparation and results presentation will be done at the end of FY 2022.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
The remaining budget will be used for study completion at the icddr,b, for publication charge, and attendance of domestic and international conferences.
