Various models of player performance and learning in executive function training games are still being implemented, making use of a variety of algorithms including the LEABRA algorithm. Overall, the research has identified notable challenges in this area, including theoretical issues regarding the understanding of how and when cognitive modeling can contribute to the design of executive function training software. In light of this, a conference paper or journal article on the usefulness and suitability of techniques for player modeling in the design of executive function training software is still in preparation. Impact of COVID-19 pandemic: changes to conference schedules; time available for research reduced due to increased demands of creating content for online classes.

Due to delays related to COVID-19 pandemic (changes to conference schedules and reduction in time available for research due to increased time required to create materials for online classes), conference papers/journals articles have not yet been published. As such, funding for conference registration fees/article processing charges have not been required.
Usage plan: funds will be used for conference registration fees or open access article publication charges (APCs) if required.
