研究概要

(1)新しい世界史である「グローバルヒストリー」をアジア・日本の視点から第一次史料に基づいて構築するために、史料収集を行うとともに。意見交換のためのセミナー、ワークショップを定期的に開催する。
(1)「長期の18世紀」研究班を組織する。
(2)20世紀研究班を組織する。
(2)世界の学会と相互協力の舞台として、アジアの世界史研究者の協力を得て、「アジア世界史学会」(Association of World Historians : AAWH)を設立する。
(3)各種国際学会で研究成果を発表するとともに、英文論集と日本語学術書の刊行をめざす
