研究概要

銀河系中心部の磁気浮上ループ1、2に対して、NANTEN2望遠鏡、ASTE望遠鏡を用いてCOの高励起輝線の観測を実施した。ループに付随する分子雲の温度・密度・運動状態を明らかにし、銀河系中心部の中性分子ガスの高温・高速度分散の起源の1つであることを示唆した。また大規模なループ探査を実施し、13個の分子雲ループ候補を同定した。さらに大規模な数値シミュレーションにより、ループ形成の過程、及びその性質、分布を明らかにした。
