研究概要

高齢者の疾患・病態の性差とその機序を解明する目的で研究を行った。老化過程の性差の解明では、アンドロゲンとその受容体ならびにSirt1の機能について、虚弱化の性差については要介護高齢者における性ホルモン、特にアンドロゲンの意義について、メタボリックシンドロームと動脈硬化の性差については性ホルモンの意義について基礎的、臨床的に検討を行い研究論文にまとめた。また、性差医療に関する実態調査では、診療・教育上の現状と要求をまとめた。
