研究概要

打抜き原体照射法に、線量率変調を取り入れた、「強度変調原体照射法(VMAT)」を完成した。また、VMAT治療中にコーンビームCTを撮影する「同時CT撮影」を開発した。治療時間については、従来型のIMRTでは5分～10分を要するのに対して、2分程度に短縮できることを実証した。同時CT撮影による位置決め精度の定量的な評価を行った結果、前立腺がんの場合、治療中の位置に対する治療前の位置のズレの平均と標準偏差は、左右、腹背、頭尾方向でそれぞれ、0.1±0.2mm,-0.3±0.4mm,-0.4±0.6mmであることを確認した。
