研究概要

研究プロジェクトの目標は、会津大学において専門的英語を支援するLogic Circuit Designの開発と実行だった。英語の支援はLCDコースの語彙的、意味的需要を中心に学生支援を整えることだった。研究期間中、3名のコンピュータ理工学の教員が400名の1、2年生を対象にこのコースを利用した。LCDコースは学習管理システム内で設定面において大きく進歩した。Flexible language acquisition tools(FLAX)が試験的に利用され、進歩した。技術相談は、FLAXを機能的に向上させる為、ワイカト大学とFLAXプロジェクトの教員間で行われ、現在も継続している。LCDのための専門用語辞書も追加された。更に、学習管理システム(LMS)がベトナムの大学にインストールされた。LMSは大学における内容やカリキュラムの中心の場となった。研究期間中、システムを利用する教員対象にいくつかのワークショップが行われた。3年間の研究期間中、ニュージーランドワイカト大学、米国オハイオ大学の教員達と協議し合った。ベトナムの大学とはいくつかの協力的合意が得られた。
