研究概要

アフリカ熱帯雨林に住む狩猟採集民と農耕民の森林食物資源利用を、生態人類学的フィールドワークをとおして比較検討した。その結果、両者が利用する食物資源は大きく重複しているものの、それらの資源の運用のあり方に決定的な差異があることが明らかになった。この知見は、当該地域で現在さかんに進められている森林保全計画に反映させることをとおして、住民の生活と森林保全の両立を実現しうる計画を練り上げることに貢献できるだろう。
