The main research report was "Effects of the Internalization of Peer-Modeled Self-efficacy on Coping with L2 Communication Stress" (see citation below) which was published in 2021. This study detailed the effects of an online intercultural exchange on the motivation to learn English of Japanese university students.
I am presenting a paper on this topic at the Psychology of Language Learning Conference (PLL5) in Madrid, Spain this month (May 2024). The title of the presentation is "Identification with international and local peer models" and explains the importance of peer models on motivation to learn English. This research study is also based on the ICE Project. The ICE Project is ongoing and will take place for the 6th time in October - November 2024.
