研究実績の概要 |
During FY2021 I continued to make contact collaborators via email and video conferencing. I moved forward with data collection of performances in Tokyo, Japan. Research collaborator Hsieh also gave a short workshop related to the projects to her students in Taiwan. Due to COVID-19, research collaborators in the Philippines were not able to develop the project this year. However, they have indicated that they will be able to participate if the project is extended another year. Additionally, I presented papers related to the general research theme at the following two international and two domestic conferences (online). Acceptance of the book chapter summited to Tainan was confirmed, and the book aims to be published before the end of 2022.

理由
During FY2021, travel to partner sites was still not possible as a result of COVID-19. Communication with research collaborators continued but was difficult because research collaborators were also experiencing problems at their respective universities because of COVID-19. Both the collaborators and myself needed to make adjustments and be prepared for the ongoing difficulties presented by COVID. It is strongly hoped that travel to partner sites will be possible in 2023, and that by extending the project, the research work can be completed.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
In 2022 I intend to (1) plan education exchanges at partner sites in Taiwan and the Philippines, (2) analyze the data collected to date. (3) Present two papers at international conferences (online if travel is not permitted). It is true that over the last two years COVID-19 has seriously impacted on this research project. If the work is not satisfactorily completed this year, an extension of the research period may be necessary.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic most of the planned research activities could not go ahead.
