研究実績の概要 |
A hot term about tomorrow’s production is smart manufacturing, which is one of the cores to realize the next industrial revolution, for example, Society 5.0 by Japanese government. Many Japanese factories are in the process of adopting smart factories based on their current production system. Seru Production Systems (SPS, セル生産システム) are one of the most applied systems in Japan’s industries. This research proposal studies how to realize a smart factory through a seru production system. This is a three-year research project. We will investigate a lot of research question, especially put today's tools such as robots and IoT into seru production systems and evaluate its performances. We organize a smart factory with a SPS to quickly meet changing demands. A customer demand is described by two parameters: product type, volume of the type. The objective is to minimize the production time of customer demands to realize responding in real time required by smart manufacturing with possible supports from new technologies such as IoT for data collections, robots, cloud computing, and AI for data analyses. For this year, we have published several papers and there several papers are under review of elegant academic journals.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Smart manufacturing is the key for the next industrial evolution, which is defined as a fully integrated, collaborative manufacturing system that responds in real time to meet changing demands and conditions in the factory, in the supply network and in customer needs (by National Institute of Standards and Technology of U.S Department of Commerce). So, from the definition, the most important research problem for smart manufacturing is how to organize a smart factory to meet changing customer demands quickly in real time? (Key Scientific Question) We will continue this research question in the following years.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
次年度使用額が生じた理由: コロナによる出張は不可能なので、次年度使用額が生じてしまいました。 次年度使用計画: 今年度もコロナの状況は不明です。したがって、二つのプランを準備します。1.コロナ収束した場合、海外出張(欧米アジア)数回予定しています。コロナ禍のため、航空券の高騰可能性が十分あります。2.コロナ収束できない場合、高速コンピューターを購入し、科学計算・スマート工場のシミュレーションを行う予定です。
