| 研究実績の概要 |
Between April 2022 and March 2023, we successfully collected the required amount of data from 2 private universities in Japan. This was subsequently analyzed to provide a basis for writing reports. Presentations, giving a half-way point assessment of findings were given at ThaiTESOL in January, 2023, APAIE, in March, 2023, and TESOL International Convention and English Language EXPO, in March 2023. A research paper submission was also made for the ThaiTESOL conference proceedings. Also, another research paper about Factorial Analysis in Study Abroad Program has been submitted to The Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT) Study Abroad SIG journal.

Our research is progressing smoothly with all deadlines adhered to. There are not expected to be any necessary shifts from the research plan.

| 今後の研究の推進方策 |
In 2023 to 2024, we will continue to collect data from students from a variety of universities in Japan in order to draw comparisons from the 4 years which were analysed. The results, collected within this period will indicate how the program goals of the study abroad opportunities offered by Japanese universities, as well as the needs and wants of the learners’ have been changing recently. Also, since study abroad program at universities have re-commenced, we will collect data from students while they are actively participating in study abroad and internships while overseas. This will enable the researchers to define the factors that determine the true needs of the students as connected to their academic goals.
The data collected from 2023-24 will be analyzed, compared and will be presented at a number of international and international universities throughout the final 2 years of the study, including PanSIG, JALT, ThaiTESOL and APAIE.

| 次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
当初予定していた、国際学会での発表がCovid-19の影響によりオンライン開催となり、予定していた旅費をすべて使用することができなかった。
今年度は米国で行われる、NAFSA、Thailandで行われ、APAIEを含む国際学会への参加を予定しており、留学に関する意見交換を専門家の先生方と行う。
