研究実績の概要 |
We are progressing according to the original plan in 2021, and achieved the following results.
We consider unsourced random access communications. In massive wireless sensor network, each of active devices fragments its message and sends its encoded pieces of the message slot-by-slot to a multiple-access fading channel. An access point decodes these pieces of messages and estimates their corresponding fading coefficients, and then stitches, by clustering fading coefficients, these pieces of messages together to their original messages. The main feature of our proposed systems is that we detect and stitch device messages by using only the device-specific fading coefficients without any other device-specific spreading codes as in CDMA or interleave pattern as in IDMA systems.

理由
As summarized in the Research Achievements section, the research is smoothly progressing according to the original plan in 2021.
We have shown that utilization of the device-specific channel state information improves the performance of the massive wireless sensor networks. In a Reed Muller coded sensor networks, we have proposed both a sequential and a K-means stitching algorithms for stitching pieces of message together to their original messages. Simulations show that the proposed algorithms have almost the same performance as an ideal stitching, even in time-variable, memory fading channels.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
Research will proceed according to the original plan.
In the third year, we are planning to implement the unsourced random access communications over multipath fading channels, which is more practical for applications. Moreover, we continue to investigate the spatially-coupled coded slotted ALOHA systems over fading channels, and give an analysis, and asymptotic performance.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to the pandemic of Covid-19 with travel restrictions, we participated the conferences and symposiums on-line, instead of in-person as planned before. Moreover, a part of the research result in 2021 has been summarized and submitted to the International Symposium on Information Theory and Its Applications (ISITA) at Tsukuba. Also we are preparing to summit to IEEE Region 10 Conference (TENCON) at Hong Kong.
