研究課題
当科喘息・慢性咳嗽外来における2012年4月から2018年3月の初診遷延性・慢性咳嗽患者312例の症例解析で、GERDの頻度と治療抵抗性・難治化への関与（Kanemitsu et al. Clinical impact of gastroesophageal reflux disease in patients with subacute/chronic cough. Allergol Int 2019;68:478-85）、咳受容体感受性亢進の喘息重症化への寄与（Kanemitsu et al. Increased capsaicin sensitivity in severe asthmatics associated with worse clinical outcome. Am J Respir Crit Care Med 2020;201:1068-77）、GERD例の診断における質問票FSSGの有用性（Kurokawa et al. The diagnostic utility of the frequency scale for the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease questionnaire (FSSG) for patients with subacute/chronic cough. J Asthma 2021;58:1502-11）、GERDの喘息病態への関与（Kurokawa et al. Reflux-related symptoms reflect poor asthma control and the presence of airway neuronal dysfunction. Allergol Int. 2022 Online ahead of print）を報告した。後ろ向き検討に加えて初診難治性慢性咳嗽患者の前向き集積を開始し、血漿サブスタンスP濃度、血清ぺリオスチン値、喀痰・唾液のペプシン濃度、血清グレリン値、喀痰・血清 ATP 濃度、血清ビタミンB12濃度、喀痰中ペプシン濃度などのバイオマーカー測定を、ELISAキットなども購入して予備的測定を行っている。P2X3拮抗薬gefapixantが世界に先駆けて日本で上市されたことから、パイロット的な使用を検討している。

コロナ禍の影響で、初診患者数が減少傾向にある。
関連施設にも協力を要請し、症例集積を進める。バイオマーカー測定の手法を確立させる。
研究進捗がやや遅れたために試薬の購入額が減ったこと。国内外の学会がほとんどウェブ開催となり、旅費の支出が減ったこと。
