I further developed the approach to the interface between phonology, morpho-syntax, semantics, and pragmatics within the framework of Relational Morphology, incorporating insights from Peircean sign typology. I applied this approach to several phenomena in Japanese and Korean phonology, including segmental alternations in Sino-Japanese and Sino-Korean and lexically stratified accent patterns in dialects of the two languages.
