| 研究実績の概要 |
最終年度にコーネル大学出版会から『People's Diplomacy: How Americans and Chinese Transformed US-China Relations during the Cold War』と題した研究書を、研究の集大成としてオープンアクセスにて出版した。研究期間全体を通じて実施した研究の成果については、上記研究書に加え、「Perpetual Foreigners: Chinese Americans and the U.S. Opening to China」と題した論文をDiplomatic Historyから発表したほか、「From Imperialists to Pacifists: American Quakers and U.S.-China Relations in the Cold War」と題した論文がCold War Historyから近日発表予定である（Gong Bingyi氏と共著）。加えて、「The Vietnam War, Maoism, and the Cultural Revolution: Propaganda and Mobilization in the People’s Republic of China」と題した原稿を、Palgrave Macmillanから出版された『Protest in the Vietnam War Era』という編著（Alexander Sedlmaier編）の担当章として発表した。その他、国内外の学会・研究会等にて、研究成果について5回ほど発表する機会を得た。これらの研究成果により、1970年代を中心とする冷戦期の米中関係について、政府間外交の枠組みを超えた、より広範な両国関係に着目した理解が促進された。
