(1) Literature review
In addition to the original research concepts of homeschooling, the start of home-based learning due to the the pandemic and (partial) school closures lent a new perspective to this research. Aspects and issues of home-based learning, and its relevance to this research's focus of education and schooling within the Home or family unit, were considered through ongoing changes, trends, and various social system responses.
(2) Qualitative interviews
Due to the sudden move to home-based learning, key respondents of the homeschooling project reportedly found themselves sought after for their experience or expertise. However, data-collection was put off to give parents the space and time they wanted in dealing with the effects of the pandemic.
