研究実績の概要 |
The goal of my current work is to extract the optimal collective coordinates for the nuclear collective motions, like nuclear fusion or fission reactions. We require these collective coordinates to be decoupled from other intrinsic degrees of freedom. We also aim at calculating the inertial masses for those collective coordinates. Both the collective coordinates and inertial masses are the key ingredients to quantize the nuclear collective dynamics, and explore the microscopic mechanisms of nuclear fusion and fission reactions. We have developed a fissile theoretical framework that could be applied to calculate the collective coordinate of nuclear dynamics, where the pairing effect, or the super-conductivity is a key feature that could affect nuclear dynamics significantly. We incorporated the pairng effect successfully into our method,so as to analyze how the super-conductivity would interact with the nuclear collective motions. An efficient method to calculate the inertial mass parameter with respect to the collective dynamics is developed, that is ready to apply to realistic calculations. I have built up a numerical technique to carry out the theoretical plan, at the same time I made a robust computational code that is being tested and applied to realize our goal.

I realized that the pairing effect is important in our treatment in extracting the collective coordinates, I spent some time taking account of pairing effects in our theoretical calculations. Generally progress is being made smoothly.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
At present, I'm developing a robust computational code that is being tested and applied to some light nuclear systems. The test calculations will be carried on to polish my method, preliminary results are being calculated. Next I will obtain a reliable numerical method to calculate the collective coordinate and inertial mass for nuclear dynamics.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Incurring this amount of budget is partly due to the cancelation of travel plans in the pandemic, partly due to the unexpected delay of the development of my computational technique. Next, the large scale computational calculations and data analysis will be carried out to realize the research plan. Thus I'm buying books about coding and computational sciences for implementing numerical calculations. I'm buying data storage devices for data analysis. I'm planning to travel to the institutes of my collaborators for presentations and discussions.
