研究実績の概要

1) In a publication in collaboration with Alberto Zaffaroni, I found a universal class of anti de Sitter (AdS) black holes in half-maximal gauges supergravity in 4 and 5 dimensions that can be uplifted to M-theory and type II string backgrounds with an AdS vacuum and 16 supercharges. They provide an infinite set of examples dual to N=2 and N=4 conformal field theories (CFTs) in four and three dimensions, respectively. I then explained the microscopic origin of their entropy via either studying the large N limit of the relevant supersymmetric index of the holographic dual field theory or using the charged Cardy formula.

2) In collaboration with Kiril Hristov and Alberto Zaffaroni, I constructed a class of rotating, dyonic AdS(5) x S^5 solutions that arise from D3-branes wrapping a sphere with conical singularities at the poles, i.e. spindle. I then derived the general form of the anomaly polynomial of the holographic dual N=(0,2) CFT in two dimensions and performed a counting of the microstates of black strings with AdS(3) x spindle near-horizon geometry using the charged Cardy formula.

3) In a joint work with Itamar Yaakov and Alberto Zaffaroni, I investigated the large N factorization properties of five-dimensional supersymmetric partition functions for CFT with a holographic dual. I considered partition functions on squashed S^3 x rotating twisted S^2 and S^1 x genus g Riemann surface x S^2. I proved that the large N partition functions and various other observables can be obtained by gluing elementary blocks associated with simple physical quantities.
