研究実績の概要 |
Further investigation was carried out on the novel 3D structure of weft-knitted spacer fabric. In order to identify the optimal knitting structure for using an anti-vibration glove, a systematic evaluation of the effect of spacer materials and structures, inlay materials and connecting patterns on the vibration isolation properties, physical and mechanical behaviours were conducted. The findings can help understand the impact of each element of the fabric on the overall fabric performance and provide references for fabricating anti-vibration gloves. On the other hand, the design of the glove for improving the hand dexterity and keeping good vibration isolation ability was also carried out. Glove designs with the developed spacer fabric were made and glove prototypes were fabricated. The impact of the vibration isolation padding, the pattern and materials for different parts of the glove were both taken into consideration.

理由
Following the proposed research plan, further development of the 3D structured knitted fabric for vibration isolation and the design and prototypes fabrication of anti-vibration gloves have been conducted in the first year of this project. The outcomes are also significant and valuable for the next stage of further glove improvement and wear-trial verification of prototypes.

今後の研究の推進方策 |
The research study will move to the final stage for further improving the design of anti-vibration gloves. The development will concern the location of the anti-vibration materials, the combination of different fabrics, the shape and pattern of the gloves, and the glove assembly method. The objective and subjective glove evaluation and wear-trial experiment will be carried out on the glove prototypes for assessing finger dexterity, hand performance and wearing comfort.

次年度使用額が生じた理由 |
Due to the pandemic, all the business trips were cancelled, and hence no travel expenses occurred in the past two years. The incurring amount will be used for on-line or national conferences and paper publication in the coming fiscal year.
