研究実績の概要 |
In the last year of the project, the focus was mainly put on the development of anti-vibration glove by using the developed 3D knitted sandwich fabrics as a padding on the palm side. The damping and vibration isolation functions of the developed gloves were confirmed. Several designs of gloves were fabricated to test the impact of the vibration isolation padding, the pattern and materials for different parts of the glove. A wear trial was conducted to evaluate the subjective sensation toward different types of anti-vibration gloves. A thin and elastic fabric on the glove dorsal can help improve comfort and hand dexterity. The findings can help understand the impact of different design elements on the overall performance of anti-vibration gloves. Further investigation on the structure of 3D knitted fabric is recommended to reduce the fabric thickness further and, at the same time, improve the vibration isolation functions.
The outcomes of this three-year project included the development of a new 3D knitted spacer fabric with inlay for vibration isolation, identifying design elements to improve comfort and hand dexterity, and the design of an anti-vibration glove with better breathability. The outcomes can act as an important reference for textiles engineering and the improvement of anti-vibration gloves.
